About Outdoor Hounds
Outdoor Hounds is a small local business based on the edge of the South Downs servicing Brighton & Hove,and parts of Portslade, Southwick, & Shoreham.
Our aim is to support the health and happiness of your dog with a first class dog walking service..
Ensuring dogs are in the right groups enables us to focus on individual needs and to ensure a happy & healthy dynamic. An active & engaging walk each day builds confidence, socialisation skills and improves overall health. The stimulation can also help reduce any destructive behaviour or boredom.
Your dog’s safety is paramount: Outdoor Hounds is a proud member of the Brighton and Hove Professional Dog Walkers scheme, is police checked, canine first aid trained, and has public liability insurance. Our modern van has been professionally fitted with cages and plush, hygienic & non allergy mats to ensure your dog travels both safely and comfortably. It offers full air conditioning and roof air ventilation. All dogs will be walked off lead with your permission and will have an Outdoor Hounds tag attached to their collar. Before returning home, your dog will be wiped down and given fresh water.
Before walking your dog for the first time, we will visit you in your home free of charge to meet you and your dog(s) to discuss your requirements.
About me: I’m Den & owner of Outdoor Hounds. Being outdoorsy and loving the company of dogs, this job is the perfect vocation for me. My ambition…. to make every dog feel like they have had the best walk ever every time they venture out with Outdoor Hounds Dog Walking Services. When I am not being a dog walker, I enjoy dog behaviour & training courses or am glued to a map looking for a new walking route to test out. I enjoy going to Agility events in the UK and am really proud to have experienced being a groom at Crufts 2017 for the British Open tournament, Olympia 2018 and most recently Crufts 2019.
Dogs are an integral part of my life and nothing makes me happier than taking the dogs out and watching them socialise and have fun. And then when at home - seeing them relaxed and sleepy after a fabulous walk. Rest assured, your dog is in a professional and experienced dog walkers care and will be treated like one of my own.
